Butte Action Alliance First Annual February VDay Celebration

  • Imagine Butte Resource Center 58 West Park Street Butte, MT, 59701 United States (map)

Come join the Butte Action Alliance to celebrate V-Day on February 19th at the IBRC! While February is usually known for Valentines Day which centers on love and lovers, V-Day focuses on ending violence against women, girls, and the most marginalized. V-Day is a global activist movement started on February 14th, 1998 by the playwright Eve Ensler when she put on the first benefit performance of her play The Vagina Monologues.

We are celebrating V-Day this year by showing The Vagina Monologues while we have a crafting session where participants will be able to make vulva ornaments/keychain, bake sale where you can decorate your own vulva cookie, create your own activist buttons. Afterward we will have a conversation about the V-Day movement, what they do around the world, and steps we can take to end violence again against women, girls, and the most marginalized here in Butte.

Suggested donation starting at $10.
